Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January, 2013

The following Privacy Policy governs the online information collection practices of Lighfoot Geo Solutions LLC d/b/a Lighthoof Equine and “lighthoof.com” (“we” or “us”).

Specifically, it outlines the types of information that we gather about you while you are using the lighthoof.com website (the “Site”), and the ways in which we use this information. This Privacy Policy, including our children’s privacy statement, does not apply to any information you may provide to us or that we may collect offline and/or through other means (for example, at a live event, via telephone, or through the mail).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By visiting and using the Site, you agree that your use of our Site, and any dispute over privacy, is governed by this Privacy Policy. Because the Web is an evolving medium, we may need to change our Privacy Policy at some point in the future, in which case we’ll post the changes to this Privacy Policy on this website and update the Effective Date of the policy to reflect the date of the changes. By continuing to use the Site after we post any such changes, you accept the Privacy Policy as modified.

How We Collect and Use Information

Lighthoof.com strives to offer its visitors the many advantages of Internet technology and to provide an interactive, personalized and convenient experience. Therefore we collect two types of information about you when you engage with us on our website. Like most website, Lighthoof.com automatically collects Aggregated Information (which does not personally identify you) to improve your web experience. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information, voluntarily given by you, (your first name, e-mail address, etc.) subject to the terms of this privacy policy to communicate with you. We will never sell, barter, or rent your email address to any unauthorized third party. “Period.”

Aggregated Information

Like other Web publishers, we collect information that is generated automatically as you navigate online through the Site to enhance your visit and deliver more individualized content and advertising. We respect your privacy and do not share your information with anyone.

Aggregated Information (information that does not personally identify you) may be used in many ways. For example, we may collect information about your computer’s connection to the Internet, which allows us, among other things, to improve the delivery of our web pages to you and to measure traffic on the Site. Again, this information does not include any Personally Identifiable Information about you or allow anyone to identify you individually.

Like most Web sites, Lighthoof.com also collects information automatically and through the use of electronic tools that may be transparent to our visitors. For example, we may log the name of your Internet Service Provider or use cookie technology to recognize you and hold information from your visit. Among other things, the cookie may store your username and password, sparing you from having to re-enter that information each time you visit. As we adopt additional technology, we may also gather information through other means. In certain cases, you can choose not to provide us with information, for example by setting your browser to refuse to accept cookies, but if you do you may be unable to access certain portions of the site or may be asked to re-enter your user name and password, and we may not be able to customize the site’s features according to your preferences.

Personally Identifiable Information

We may use Personally Identifiable Information collected on Lighthoof.com to answer the email we receive from you, to send your order confirmation, shipment notifications, renewal information, special offers, and/or topics we feel you may have interest in via email updates about posts on the Lighthoof.com Enlightened Horsekeeping blog. We respect your time and privacy. We vow to communicate with you only in ways that we feel are reasonable and beneficial to you and give you the option to remove or update your information at any time.

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. We use the information you provide about someone else when placing an order only to ship the product and to confirm delivery. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily make your personal information available for viewing by third parties online – for example on message boards, blog post comments, through email, or in chat areas – that information can be seen, collected and used by others besides us. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of such information.

The Site also includes links to other websites and provides access to products and services offered by third parties, whose privacy policies we do not control. When you access another website or purchase third-party products or services through the Site, use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the site you are visiting or the provider of such products or services.

How do we store your information?

Your information is stored at the list server that delivers Lighthoof.com promotions and blog post updates. Your information can only be accessed by those who help manage those lists in order to deliver e-mail to those who would like to receive Lighthoof.com information and updates.
